Robert Voica

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” [Isaiah 9:6, NIV]

Collision

Revelation 22:20 He who testifies to these things says, Surely I am coming soon. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!

He said soon; we say come. The truth of the matter is this, He cannot lie, so if He said that He’s coming soon… He really means it! With that in mind, can we confidently say with all that is within us, come… I’m ready for You Lord Jesus! If so, it’s where desire’s collide, His with ours. What a beautiful collision indeed!

What A Promise!

John 5:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.

Thank you Jesus! I hear and believe!

Remember Me

Psalm 25:7 Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions; according to your steadfast love remember me, for the sake of your goodness, O Lord!

What a wonderful request to the Lord from a man who came to the realization that his past was wretched but today stands as a new man… in other words stating, “Lord, please don’t remember my past, my ugly, nasty sins… remember me, who I am now; not how others may see me, but how Your love sees me!”

I want you to know, that if you would confess your sins, the Lord is righteous and just to forgive them… your past is just that, past; your today is what matters, ask Him to remember a man or woman who has made the decision to allow the Love of our Lord to radically change your life… today!

Parables of Jesus Christ

“I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter what has been hidden since the foundation of the world.”
- Jesus Christ (Matthew 13:35)

Do you want to know the things hidden since the foundation of the world? Read and study the parables of Jesus Christ and you will be amazed!

Pray that the Holy Spirit may help you understand them. Thank you Jesus for your amazing words!

How To Improve Your Image

Colossians 1:15-16 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities all things were created through him and for him.

Look around you… go ahead, you can see people and maybe yourself, everyone tries to bring out their best image. Nothing wrong with that, depending on whose image you are trying to emulate.

I love the first four words, “He is the image…”! In other words, you want an image, well do I have one for you… Jesus Christ, He is THE image.

So next time you walk around trying to put on an image of man, put on the image of Jesus Christ. Choose to understand and live as He lived. You don’t have to try to live up to the world’s expectation of what image is “right”, you were made for something greater because “… all things were created through him and for him”, that includes you and me!

Jeremiah 31:3 The Lord appeared to him from far away.I have loved you with an everlasting love;therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you.

How far is far? How everlasting is everlasting? Therefore… God says “I have continued my faithfulness to you.”

God’s love never fails and He is faithful as the rising sun. He desires you, all of you. Doesn’t matter how far away you are… His love and faithfulness does not change, it’s a choice you must make this second, and this one, and so on – in whose love will you rest and in whom will you place your trust?

Isaiah 32:17 17 And the effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever.

Consider peace, what comes to mind: walking alongside the beach with the warm sand under your feet and the waves ever so gently cooling them off, the fresh blanket of snow, a truce between old enemies – now friends, walking away from your last exam of your undergraduate studies, in the arms of your loved one, being surrounded by family?

The list could go on, but if you want to experience peace, try righteousness. Peace is the result of righteousness and along with it comes quietness and trust… forever.

The peace in your life will fluctuate depending on your righteousness. Be consistent in righteousness and so will your peace. In a world that is anything but peaceful, there is hope. Thank you Holy Spirit for the guidance, teaching, and conviction that leads us to righteousness!

Philippians 1:29 For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake. . . .

Granted means to give, to bestow; interesting, let’s move on… to bestow is to present a gift. Read the verse again now knowing what ‘granted’ means.

God has given us the gifts of trusting or believing in Christ and also suffering for Him. Never thought that suffering would fall in the area of gift’s, did you? Let alone, that it’s mentioned in the same sentence as believing in Jesus Christ. It is considered a privilege that we can and shall believe and suffer for His sake.

Suffering can come in many forms… how have you suffered for His sake lately?

Proverbs 25:28 28 A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.

Who in their right mind would allow their city to be broken into, stripped, robbed, vandalized; more than that, break down all barriers of protection, privacy, and peace?

Everyone wants a city that is known as being wealthy, relaxing, lovely; more than that, walls that are tall, powerful, solid, providing peace, liberty within, harmony, undetered by the world outside.

Next time you are about to lose your cool, about to give in to sin, just “can’t handle it”, think about your city… for “you are the light of the word. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden… let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven” Mat. 5:14, 16
